Today’s Storyline

The Washington Capitals are off today and will hold morning skate on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at BB&T Center in Florida.

With Washington’s 2-1 win last night coupled with Winnipeg’s loss in regulation, the Capitals currently occupy first place in the Southeast Division. The Capitals are now 3-0 in shootouts this season, with all three of those contests coming in the last six games. Washington improved to 6-1-1 in its last eight games following last night’s win.

Mike Green scored Washington’s lone goal, scoring in his fourth consecutive contest.
