Capitals prospect Chandler Stephenson registered a career-high 89 points (30g, 59a) in 69 games with the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League (WHL) this season. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native ranked tied for sixth in the WHL in assists, 14th in points and first in the League in shorthanded goals (8). Stephenson signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Washington on April 12 and scored one goal in two games with the Hershey Bears (AHL). The 6’0”, 199-pound center was drafted by the Capitals in the third round, 77th overall, in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
