Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin scored a power-play goal and added an assist today in Russia’s 5-0 win over Switzerland in the 2014 IIHF World Championship in Minsk, Belarus. Ovechkin, who is serving as captain for Russia, led the team in ice time (21:16) and tallied four shots. The Moscow native has registered 48 points (28g, 20a) in 57 career games at the World Championship.
