2014 Capitals Development Camp Guide

July 3, 2014

Kettler Capitals Iceplex • Arlington, Virginia

July 7-12, 2014

Capitals Development Camp Notes

The Washington Capitals will host their 2014 Prospect Development Camp from July 7-12 at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. All on-ice sessions, including the three intrasquad games, are free and open to the public.

Capitals development camp is an annual week-long summer session with on- and off-ice workouts designed to help Capitals prospects improve their games and allow the Capitals to evaluate their progress. This is the eighth straight year that the camp is being held at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. Past development camps have been held in Odenton, Md., and Hershey, Pa.

Attendees include Capitals prospects who are under contract and recent Capitals draft picks who have not been signed yet. In addition, several undrafted and free agent amateur players will be in attendance. The full roster of players, including invitees, will be available on the first day of camp (July 7).

The Capitals will host Fan Fest on Saturday, July 12. In addition to the scrimmage, which will be streamed on, Fan Fest will feature the team’s annual equipment sale and autograph sessions with Capitals head coach Barry Trotz, Capitals prospects as well as a special free open skate.

Players not in the group that is on the ice for the final session will be brought to the interview area upon request. Due to space constraints, the Capitals locker room is closed to the media for the duration of camp.
