Washington Capitals, Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation to Host Bourbon & Cigar Fundraiser June 25
Fundraiser Proceeds to Benefit High School Scholarship Program sponsored by Washington Capitals Alumni Association
ARLINGTON, Va. – Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation announced today the second-annual Bourbon & Cigar Fundraiser benefitting the Washington Capitals Alumni Association (WCAA), to be held Monday, June 25, from 7-10 p.m. at Top of the Town in Arlington, Va.
This cocktail event will feature a variety of tastings and custom drinks featuring Makers Mark products, courtesy of Beam Suntory, as well as a free cigar for every attendee, courtesy of Signature Cigars. All guests will also receive a custom whiskey tasting glass to use throughout the evening.
The Fundraiser will feature an open bar, and premium hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening to complement the selection of fine cigars available to sample while mingling on the rooftop with former Capitals players.
This year’s event will include a live auction featuring experience packages with Capitals alumni.
Participating alumni will be announced at a later date.

Proceeds from the event will be used to provide scholarship opportunities to select student-athletes from each of the six high school hockey leagues in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area on behalf of the WCAA.
A limited number of discounted earlybird tickets will be available to Capitals Season Ticket Members at $225 starting on Thursday, June 24 at 10 a.m. General admission tickets cost $250 and will be available for purchase on Friday, June 25 at noon.
