ARLINGTON, Va. –
Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis and captain Alex Ovechkin will visit MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, the Arlington County Police Department and Fort Dupont Ice Arena with the Stanley Cup on Friday, June 15, from 1-4 p.m.
Media planning on attending any of the events are asked to notify Megan Eichenberg in the Capitals’ media relations department by 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 14.
Capitals PR will provide a media bus to transport media to and from each location – media must RSVP to Megan Eichenberg
by 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 14
to confirm a spot.

From 1:10-1:40 p.m., Leonsis and Ovechkin will visit with police personnel at the Arlington County Police Department.

Media arriving separately from the media bus should use Entrance #1 off of Reservoir Road NW. Park at Gorman Circle, on the right-hand side next to Pasquerilla Health Center. An escort with the hospital will direct media to the cup visit location.
From 2-2:45 p.m., Leonsis and Ovechkin will visit patients at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. They will meet children in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic and take photos with patients.

Leonsis and Ovechkin will visit players at Fort Dupont Ice Arena in Southeast Washington, D.C., from 3:15-4 p.m. Fort Dupont is the only full-size indoor ice arena in Washington, D.C., and its Fort Dupont Cannons is the oldest minority youth hockey program in North America.
