Capitals Owner Ted Leonsis and Captain Alex Ovechkin Visit Fort Dupont Ice Arena, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Arlington County Police Department with the Stanley Cup

Hospital ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis and captain Alex Ovechkin visited MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, the Arlington County Police Department and Fort Dupont Ice Arena with the Stanley Cup on June 15.  

 

Hospital Leonsis and Ovechkin visited with police personnel at the Arlington County Police Department and posed for photos.

 

Leonsis and Ovechkin next visited MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. They met children in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic and took photos with patients.

The final stop was Fort Dupont Ice Arena in Southeast Washington, D.C. Fort Dupont is the only full-size indoor ice arena in Washington, D.C., and its Fort Dupont Cannons is the oldest minority youth hockey program in North America. While at the arena, Leonsis and Ovechkin posed for photos with the Cannons and Stanley Cup.
