The Washington Capitals continue with their 2018 Development Camp today at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. All on-ice sessions are free and open to the public.

Kristian Roykas Marthinsen, who is participating in his second Caps Development Camp, was drafted in the second round, 83 rd-overall, by the Saskatoon Blades (WHL) in the 2018 CHL Import Draft yesterday. Roykas Marthinsen registered 31 points (23g, 8a) in 23 games with Almtuna's junior team (Sweden) during the 2017-18 season, ranking first on the team in goals and second in points. The 6'0", 192-pound left wing also represented Norway in the 2018 World Junior Championship Division 1B, appearing in five games. The Capitals selected Roykas Marthinsen in the seventh round, 213 th overall, in the 2017 NHL Draft.

The Washington Capitals will host Caps Fan Fest at Kettler Capitals Iceplex tomorrow with activations beginning at 10 a.m. Fan Fest will feature the team’s Development Camp scrimmage, the team’s annual equipment sale, a public skate and a photo opportunity with the Stanley Cup. The Stanley Cup will be on display for fans to take photos with from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Participants may take one photo per person – a group photo or individual photo. All photos will be taken by a Capitals photographer. Cell phone photos and selfies are prohibited. The Stanley Cup photo line will be closed at 1:15 p.m., with photos being taken until 2 p.m .
