Defenseman Connor Carrick will skate at Kettler Capitals Iceplex today for the third day of the 2013 Washington Capitals Rookie Camp. Carrick, 19, was drafted in the fifth round (137th overall) by the Capitals in the 2012 NHL Draft. He registered 44 points (12 goals, 32 assists) and 79 penalty minutes in 68 regular-season games with Plymouth (OHL) last season. The Orland Park, Illinois, native earned four points (2 goals, 2 assists) in six games at the 2012 World Junior Championship, helping the United States win the gold medal.
The 5’11”, 185-pound defenseman will wear jersey No. 58 and will participate in the Capitals practice today at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. Today’s practice will take place at 10 a.m.
